Do whatever you want, be true to yourself, do not worry about anything but how you feel and follow your best feelings…
Does that statement bother you in any way? If so, it’s time to really look at what you think, believe, and why. WHo told you to put everyone else first? Why is that good? What would happen if you only thought of yourself first? Followed your passion?
I have used a saying for years; “Do what ever you want, as long as you harm no one else”…or some version of that. Most people who have freed their minds from believing that you have to follow all kinds of rules to be good enough to deserve anything say this…and yet…I blew that one out of the water recently too!
It can be hard to let go of the things we were taught were “right”…and yet, to the divine, there are no rules, no right or wrong, only you and expansion.
I re-read “Illusions” recently and there is a part where he discusses this concept, the man says this, and the ‘teacher’ says that’s a lie.
It pushed my buttons, but when i thought it through, let it move through me, again i realized it was another layer of judgment. YOu can;t really do that, because it is in your nature to defend yourself, and it is in your nature to do what youneed to survive, and live. You do things that hurt others every day. My parents do not like what I say or do, and it hurts them, but I no longer let that stop me being who I am. They choose to be hurt, I actually do not hurt them, and yet, if you followed that creed, you would indeed, be spending all day trying to please everyone, because there is always going to be someone who does not like what you say, do , are….whether it is emotional, physical or mental, you “harm/hurt” others all the time and you do not even know it. There is alwasy someon who opposes yo uin theory, thought or deed.
So, put yourself first, that is why you are here, to experience life in YOUR unique way, the way no one else can, and in doing that you contribute more to the Universe, to Source, to Divine, than you ever could by trying to please others and run around and be ‘good’, ‘nice’, ‘right’ ‘proper’…..
Instead make your heart sing and see the wonder that arises all around you!
